Beschreibung

Das Antalya Aquarium ist eine preisgekrönte Attraktion, und Sie werden schnell erkennen, warum. Es bietet eine erstaunliche Artenvielfalt sowie den längsten Aquarientunnel der Welt. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine Schneewelt und die Fear Trophy - eine Themenausstellung, die einige der gefährlichsten Kreaturen der Welt beherbergt.

Das Aquarium wurde von einem bekannten italienischen Bildhauer entworfen und ist ein echtes Kunstwerk. Er ließ sich von Korallenriffen inspirieren und im Haupttank gibt es sogar ein Flugzeug, ein Schiffswrack und ein U-Boot in Originalgröße. Jede Installation wimmelt nur so mit Dutzenden von tropischen Fisch- und Haiarten aus aller Welt. Es gibt auch ein spezielles Becken für Quallen.

Für einen kleinen Aufpreis - und wenn Sie mutig genug sind - können Sie die Fear Trophy besuchen, eine gruselige Ausstellung, die die tödlichsten Schlangen, Spinnen und mehr zeigt. Oder entdecken Sie in der Schneewelt ein Winterwunderland mit Iglus, Weihnachtsmanngrotte und Cafés. Hier kann man sogar eine Schneeballschlacht machen und Schneemänner bauen.

You'll glide along the coast to Kekova island and its sunken town, then visit the church of St Nicholas and the ancient city of Myra. Ahmet, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The highlight of the day for me has to be the ruined Lycian city of Myra. The rock-cut friezes carved with theatrical masks and the stacked tombs hewn into the cliffs are a unique sight. It still takes my breath away that parts of this site are thought to be around 2,500 years old.'Proceedings get under way with a scenic drive with a comfort stop at the Sahin Hill in Kumluca. Next, sail to Kekova island, a protected area famed for its underwater ruins. These are the relics of the ancient town of Simena, partially submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century. There's time for a swim in the warmer months – the water is clear and inviting – it would be difficult to resist a dip in the sea. But if the weather doesn't permit a boat trip, there's a visit to the fascinating Demre museum instead.After a tasty lunch of typical dishes freshly prepared in a local restaurant, it's time to visit the Church of St Nicholas, who's better known today as Santa Claus. Finally, you'll have time to tour the site of the ancient city of Myra to explore the well-preserved amphitheatre and see the intricately carved rock tombs, high in the cliff face.

Dive into adventure on this full-day water-themed tour. After a quick safety briefing, it's time to make a splash. First up is a 13-kilometre rafting route, followed by the wild waters of the Koprucay River. Then, you'll enjoy stand-up paddle-boarding on the final stretch. Back on land, you'll hit forest trails on a buggy safari before cooling off at an inflatable river waterpark. Afterwards, it's time to fish for your lunch. You'll end your adventure soaring over the river on a 300-metre-long zip-line.
